Based in Cambridge (UK), Sweeney Design was founded to supply ASIC and FPGA design services. Although ASIC and FPGA design remains our core business area, we also provide PCB design and embedded software design services to complement this. This suite of services enables us handle all aspects of embedded system development.
Alongside our custom design services we also supply a range of pre-verified, customizable, IP cores for ASICs and FPGAs. All our IP cores are supplied with driver code for eCos and may be evaluated on our development platform.
Together with the Evaluator-7T board from ARM, our E7T-DBoard forms a powerful, yet inexpensive development platform. Based around a Xilinx Spartan2 (XC2S200-6) FPGA, the platform allows the development of VHDL/Verilog hardware designs. Coupled with the completely free hardware development toolchain from Xilinx, this development platform is especially suitable for electronic engineering student project work.
With the Evaluator-7T's ARM 7 processor, the system may also be used as a powerful development platform for embedded software. Using a completely free software development toolchain, based around the eCos embedded operating system and GNU tools, the development platform is especially suitable for embedded-software student project work.
